License validation and check flight done.

Ready to go for the trip tomorrow. All formalities done and completed a successful check flight today with our instructor pilot Albert. Yesterday was briefing day and also had to pass an air law exam. Today was a 2.5 hour flight test with lots of landings, stalls, steep turn and forced landings practice. It went well and all we need now is good weather and off we go tomorrow.

The 2 aircraft we are taking are ZS-IFB & ZS-MZV. Both Cessna 182. We have our instructor pilot Albert flying ZS-IFB with Kim & Lynn and I will fly ZS-MZV with Malinda. Tomorrow's route will take us to the west to a town called Upington. We will be making a pit stop in Vryburg to stretch our legs and have a pee.

We will be staying 1 night in a bed & breakfast in Upington before heading north into Namibia on Sunday. Hopefully there is wifi at the lodges so that we can update this blog.

Now time for a barbecue at Sarel's place with a good crowd of good friends from Pretoria.

Keep you posted.
